Secondary 中學 General English 文法運用(F1-F2) Join our novel and fun approach to the revision of key grammar points! This course will be supplemented by the use of a text book and reinforced in context through occasional story reading and writing as well as interesting games and activities. 本課程以閱讀故事及生動有趣之學習手法教授學生文法運用的重點。此課程會配合課本作教材,課堂將不時以閱讀故事及寫作練習來加強學生文法上之技巧,老師更會透過互動的遊戲及活動以提升學生之興趣。
Developing Writing Skills創意寫作班 (F1-F2) (寫作, 閱讀, 會話, 聆聽) Emergent English Skills depend on learning how to organize and write fluently and comprehensively. Through writing stimuli based on narrative, descriptive, expository and persuasive topics, students will create a composition portfolio as well as gain an insight into common grammar errors and how to avoid them. 英語技巧之建立乃基於學習如何寫出既流暢又內容豐富的文章。透過學習一些基礎寫作概念如記敍文、描寫文、說明文及議論文等不同文體,學生有機會創作一系列代表作,深入了解文法上常犯的錯誤及如何加以糾正。
Secondary Project Learning 中學生活動學習課程 (F1/2, F3/4) (寫作, 閱讀, 會話, 聆聽) The needs of a knowledge-based society require students to have broader interests and sharper analytical skills. Our project-based learning course will focus on project-writing methodology, research, presentation and discussion of ideas. Each project will be taught and developed over 6-8 lessons. 現今著重知識的社會要求學生發展多方面潛能及敏銳的分析能力。此課程將透過撰寫計劃書、資料研究、發表報告及討論意見,誘發學生之想像力,而每份計劃書將於六至八堂內教授及完成。
Literature and Film 文學與電影欣賞 (F1/2, F3/4) (寫作, 閱讀, 會話, 聆聽) Through the study of extracts from modern and classic novels, films, poems and plays, students will be encouraged to analyze language meaning and widen vocabulary. From these, they will develop comprehension and writing abilities to meet the challenges of the new curriculum. 此課程將透過一系列節錄之當代及古典小說、電影、詩詞及話劇等文學作品,讓學生學習如何分析語文的意思和擴濶詞彙的認識,並發展閱讀理解及寫作技巧以面對現今教育制度之挑戰。
Secondary Present and Discuss (F1-F2) 口頭發佈及聆聽技巧 (閱讀, 會話, 聆聽) Being able to understand stress, intonation and register/meter of the native speaker are important skills which can only be developed over time. Students will learn effective presentation and discussion skills and complete periodic listening tasks from which they will learn how to select appropriate information. 成功掌握外籍人士說話時的重音、聲調、音節等技巧,並非一朝一夕之成果。這課程分為兩個部份,一部份集中教授學生如何有效以英語表達自己意見,而另一部則透過完成不同的聆聽練習增強學生對資料分類之能力。
Secondary Oral and Writing Primer (F3-F4) 中學口頭發佈班(寫作, 閱讀, 會話, 聆聽) Current topics are used as the basis for the course. Building on information gained from a reading passage, students will explore their ideas about the topic further through discussion and presentation. A writing task will be set and this will be completed at home. 此課程將以時事動態作討論題目,學生將透過閱讀不同文章以增強其想像力,並以口頭發佈及討論之形式發表他們之意見,而老師會安排一份寫作練習予學生作為功課。
HKCEE Oral and Writing Primer (F5) 中五會考口試及寫作預備班(寫作, 閱讀, 會話, 聆聽) This course is wholly-based on the CE structure. Students study a reading passage which will act as stimulation for class discussion. They will then be given a variety of topics such as presentation, discussion and the Writing Task 1. Lastly, composition questions similar to Writing Task 2 will be set based on argumentative, narrative, letter and proposal writing themes to assist students to practice and improve examination techniques. 此課程以會考形式為本,學生須閱讀指定文章以用作課堂討論及口頭發佈之題目,且學生須就題目之要求而寫出不同文體之文章,如議論文、記敘文、書信及建議書等,以助學生掌握口試及寫作試卷中所需的技巧,以應付各公開考試。
AL Oral Practice and Use of English (F6/F7) 中六/中七高級程度口試訓練及英語運用(寫作, 閱讀, 會話, 聆聽) Through language study, presentation and group discussion practice, students will practice necessary skills with the aim of enhancing AL performance. Written work will be set from time to time. 此課程透過學習語文綜合資料,口語發佈及小組討論之技巧訓練,提升學生之會話水平至符合高級英語會考程度,老師更會提供寫作練習以加強學生之英語運用能力。
