About Us and our Philosophy: 關於我們及我們的使命
Education for change is what everyone seeks. We know that education not only leads to change but betters our lives and those of future generations, too. At Word Power English Learning Center, our vision is to make a valuable contribution to the improvement of Hong Kong students’ English language skills. 現今社會，每人也在不斷學習以增值自己。我們相信教育不僅能提升自個人知識水平，亦能改善生活並惠及下一代。提供俱價值的第二語言教育予香港學生乃力文英語學習中心的目標及使命。
Our Courses: 課程
Our summer and year round programs provide students with an extensive
selection of English oral, writing, listening and reading courses. These
courses are designed for students for one or more of the following purposes:
我們的暑期及年度課程提供大量針對讀、寫、聽、講的課程予學生選擇，所有課程均根據以下目的而制定：
- • Improve fluency and general language acquisition
提升語言流暢性及準確性。 - Better general school performance
提高校內成績表現。 - Prepare for local examinations such as TSA, SBA or HKALE
準備各考試如全港性系統評估試、中學會考及高級程度會考。 - Prepare for Trinity or Cambridge courses
為校外考試如聖三一或劍橋試作準備。 - Prepare to study overseas
為將來到外國升學的學生作準備。
Our Syllabus: 課程大綱
- Our syllabus has evolved from nine years experience as operators of registered schools and providers of NET services to schools all around Hong Kong. 擁有9年的辦學經驗，並為全港各學校提供外籍老師教學的服務。
- It has been carefully designed to be relevant to the needs and levels of Hong Kong students. .我們精心設計的課程，符合香港學生的水平及需要。
- Its objective is to assist in achieving better grades in student's school examinations. 有助他們於學校考試中獲取到更好的成績。
- Periodic upgrades are made to adjust to the EB’s changing syllabus requirement. 本中心定期修訂及更新課程，以配合教統局制定之新課程。
Our Classes, Courses and Schedule: 班別、課程及時間表
- Our small, friendly groups are arranged according to the student's grade. 我們的課程以小組形式進行，並以學生於學校就讀之年級作編排。
- Our Year Round courses including Cambridge Young Learner preparation courses run for the whole academic year. 我們的年度課程包括劍橋考試預備班。
- Our Summer courses open in July and run to the end of August. 由7月初至8月底，本中心將開辦暑期課程。
- Various short/intensive courses are held throughout the year such as Christmas and Easter Enrichments, Primary 6 English as a Medium of Instruction Oral Interview Preparation, TSA Skill Booster and Secondary Examination Preparation Programs. 每年均舉辦短期課程，如聖誕節及復活節複習班、小六升中面試工作坊、全港性系統評估試和中學會考預備課程。
- A complete Year Round course will run for 48 lessons and will have 3 assessment tests to determine the students' progress. 每個課程約48堂及有3次能力評估測驗。
- Value added services such as Parents meetings and Observation weeks, Focus groups, Student Council, Progress Reports are provided free of charge. Reference and Attendance letters are charged at nominal cost. 本中心亦設有增值服務如家長會談、家長觀察週、家長關注小組、中心學生會、課程進度報告，費用全免。而推薦信則會收取合理的費用。
Our Teachers: 我們的導師
- Are highly qualified and experienced native speakers or those with relevant qualifications. 全部均乎合於本地教學資格的外籍人士，並於其國家取得合資格學歷或學士學位。
- Have a high level of professional experience in language teaching to Hong Kong students. 並俱有專業的語文教學知識及豐富的教學經驗為香港學生服務。
- Have often had NET experience in Hong Kong schools. 部份更有與本地學校合辦「外籍導師英語教學計劃」之經驗。
- Approach language teaching using interactive teaching methods and information technology to deliver interesting and motivating lessons. 運用互動教學方式和高質素之教材去推行語文教學，令課堂變得更活潑生動。
