Kindergarten Intensive Summer Play Group (K1-K3)
幼稚園暑期精讀遊樂班 (K1-K3)

(8 lessons over two weeks, 1 hour each class)($50 Material Fee)

Learning fun in our Summer Playgroup! Students learn phonics, vocabulary and improve basic oral skills through a variety of interesting activities such as the ones below:力文的暑期遊樂班，讓學生透過下列各種有趣的活動，學習拼音、生字及提升基礎會話能力。

Kindergarten Intensive Summer Play Group (K1-K3)
幼稚園暑期精讀遊樂班 (K1-K3)

  1. Storytelling 故事朗讀- With flash cards to improve vocabulary and puppets as props, students will create stories and gain oral confidence. 利用學習咭及布偶作教學道具，學生可學習故事創作及加強會話應對信心。

  2. Parents and Kids Phonics 親子拼音- Children will learn and practice phonic sounds, while parents will gain knowledge of phonic-teaching methodology so that the learning can continue at home! 孩子將練習拼音技巧，而家長則可掌握指導拼音的方法，令孩子可於家中復習。

  3. Show and Tell 展示與分享– Bring a toy from home and tell us about it!帶一件玩具到課堂上，向其他同學進行介紹。

  4. Art House 美藝畫室- Make collages, draw funny animals and even paint self-portraits! 製作美術拼貼、 繪畫不同動物甚至自畫像!

  5. Pots and Pans 壺與鍋-Learn all about food names and what we need to do in order to make yummy foods!學習不同食物的名稱及學習如何煮出美食!

Cooking YUM YUM! 煮出美味! (P1/2)
Our ever-popular summer course returns! Students learn home cooking mama-style! 最受歡迎的暑期課程回歸! 學生將學習廚神媽媽的煮食秘訣!
 
Toy Stories 玩具說故事 (P1/2)
Play and learn through toy playing! Popular cuddly toys are brought to life in an interactive setting by way of drama and video. 寓教於樂! 透過話劇及錄像將人氣又可愛的布偶娃娃活靈活現!
 
Walk like an Egyptian 活像古埃及人(P3/4)
Take an imaginative trip to Egypt! Learn about all things ancient Egyptian such as hieroglyphics, pyramid-building, mummifying and how to live for eternity! 幻想一次”出埃及記”! 學習所有古埃及的文化, 如象形文字, 建造金字塔, 製作木乃伊的過程及如何能夠永生不死!
 
Painting Picasso 我是畢加索 (P3/4)
Learn about the famous masters and see if you can emulate them! Then display your work in an end-of-course art exhibition. 學習繪畫大師的畫風並嘗試模仿他們! 你的巨作將展示於課程完結時的展覽會。
 
Monster Movies 怪物電影 (P5/6)
Climb buildings like King Kong, run with Godzilla and get eaten in ‘Alien’! Students watch successful (and not so successful) monster movie clips to learn about this movie genre, including how monsters are brought to life on the silver screen. Students then write a monster movie starring a monster of their own creation. 金剛爬上摩天大樓, 像哥斯拉般瘋狂亂走, 甚至被“異形”吞噬! 學生透過觀賞成功(或不太成功)的怪物電影片段去學習不同的電影類型, 如何將怪物活現於電影銀幕裡. 學生將以自己的想像力創作一隻怪物並將之寫成電影橋段!
 
Moonwalk 月球漫步 (P5/6)
Did Armstrong REALLY walk on the moon? Is the moon just a big lump of useless rock? Let’s go and find out! Students will learn all about the moon and make a project using video, artwork and creative stories. 岩士唐是否真的於月球上漫步? 月球是否只是一塊大而無當的石頭? 學生將學習有關月球的知識, 並以月球為主題用錄像, 插圖及故事等方式製作一份報告, 來一齊探討吧!
 
Silly Science! 不可思議的科學! (P3/4, P5/6)
Come and be SERIOUSLY inspired! Learn how to write super stories and make fun art with a scientific theme, do simple experiments and even write songs and create new musical instruments to play. All truly inventive! 學習如何描寫精彩的故事及利用科學上的主題,去製作有趣的技術, 更可以創造新的樂器去演奏. 全都是新發明來的, 來認真地被啟發一下!

Hotel Babylon 星級酒店(F1/2)
With tourism becoming ever more important for Hong Kong, students get to learn what it takes to manage a hotel, learn about workplace communication and practice speaking through role plays. 旅遊業於香港估著一個很重要的地位, 學生透過角色扮演加以練習及學習酒店常用的英語, 以掌握酒店管理技巧。

 

Expo 2010 博覽會2010 (F1/2)
In this event-planning course, students will practice communicative and problem-solving skills as they work together to plan a major event. 在此學習項目設計的課程中, 學生能夠透過如何互相合作以便完成一重大項目的方式, 學習到解決問題的技巧及社交性溝通。

 

Police Story 警察故事(F1/2)
All you need to be an investigator! Learn the ins and outs of the law and how criminals are caught. 摸清楚法例的裡裡外外及如何將匪徒繩之以法, 就能成為一名幹探!
 

Disaster Movies 災難電影(F1/2)
Sink with the Titanic? End like 2012? Freeze ‘The Day after Tomorrow’? Through watching movie clips, students get to understand what makes this genre of movie work. 與鐵達尼一同沈沒於海底? 如2012般的世界沒日? 冰冷如’明日之後’? 透過觀賞電影片段, 學生能探討這類災難電影的成功之處。

 

Project Mania 計劃狂熱(F3/4)
Our topic-based course will focus on project-writing methodology, research, discussion of ideas and presentation to meet the SBA’s requirements. 此標題性的課程將集中於項目寫作的方法, 研究, 意見討論及發表技巧, 以定符合校本評核的要求。

 

Shakespeare is Alive! 莎士比亞再生! (F3/4/5)
Learn to understand and appreciate the Bard! Students will look at extracts from two Shakespeare plays, analyze and discuss language in order to understand his themes and how they are still relevant today. 學習了解及欣賞詩人! 學生將從兩篇莎士比亞戲劇的節錄中學習分析及探討其文學仍能影響現今社會的原因。

 

Singing the Blues 藍調之歌(F3/4)
Young people love to listen to trendy music. This course helps students to broaden their musical horizons by learning about different genres of music and exploring the meaning of songs. Those who wish to take a further step will be able to write a song and perform it! 年輕人多接觸時下流行曲, 此課程讓學生透過了解不同種類的音樂及其背後的意義, 擴闊他們的音樂視野和認識. 進一步甚至可以嘗試創作並親自演繹自己的作品!

 

Part 2: Cambridge Summer Intensive Examination Preparation Courses
第二部份: 劍橋試暑期精讀預備課程
 

Students are taught the skills needed for the Cambridge exams in these 20- to 30- hour intensive courses throughout July and August. Classes are held three times a week for 1-1.5 hours, and exam booking can be arranged by the Center on completion. Students will need to purchase the course book. 學生於7-8月期間於20-30多小時之精讀課程中學習劍橋試的應試技巧. 每堂為一小時至一小時三十分鐘, 每星期共有三節課. 學生需要購買相關的課本, 於完成課程後, 而本中心可替學生代辦應試手續。

Get ready for School with our exciting August Preparation Programs. These courses focus on the language acquisition skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.
